On the 15th December 2011 Cheeky Monkeys Playgroup were awarded their Silver award for the Eco School Government Initiative. Since this time the children have been involved in carrying out an Eco Review of their hard work so far in order to update their action plan. Their updated Action Plan will hopefully help them to achieve Green Flag status. Congratulations children. Playgroup Manager

There's frost and ice on the ground, we're all wearing our boots and warm winter woolies, but that doesn't stop us from thinking about the summer time and organising our holiday activity programme. If you have any suggestions of activities that you want to do, contact us and let us know. Centre Co-ordinator

At the run up to Christmas, the centre was a little bit quieter, with many groups stopping to enjoy the festivities (and to do all their Christmas shopping). We're now well into January, and the centre is back in full swing, with all the clubs back and enjoing themselves. We do have some opportunities though for room hire, so if you have a club or an activity that you want to run, contact us here. Centre Co-ordinator

Our junior age youth clubs start back again tonight. We hope to see loads and loads of kids, old and new. Centre Co-ordinator

Goodbye to Elaine, our Clerical Officer, as her last day of work was at the end of the year. Elaine has been with us for over 8 years, and will be very much missed by all. Not just for her many years of experience, but also for her friendly personality. Thank you Elaine, we wish you all the best. Centre Co-ordiantor

Kandu Club starts today at 2pm, with an excitiing quiz and tasty home made merangues. A programme of activities for this term will be handed out today, so you will see what fun activities have been planned for you. Centre Co-ordinator

Cookies Cafe Bar is open every Monday - Friday for hot and cold snacks and meals. We have a great selection, in comfortable friendly surroundings. If you just fancy a cup of tea and a biscuit, come and watch tv or read your book. Our friendly helpful staff will be happy to see you. Centre Co-ordinator

On Friday staff, volunteers and Management Committee met with Julie to say goodbye to her on her last day. Julie has been a leader of Hilton Community Centre youth clubs at the centre for over 20 years. Julie will be missed by, not just the adults in the centre, but also by the many children and young people she works with. Good bye Julie and thank you. Centre Co-ordinator
